Need an Official Record?
Use the custodian that holds the specific St. Tammany Parish record:
- Court case files: see criminal court case records, or contact the clerk of the court that heard the case
- Criminal records and personal rap-sheet review: contact the Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections, Office of State Police, Bureau of Criminal Identification and Information (BCII)
- Arrest, booking, and jail records: contact the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office through its official site
- Court files and certified copies: contact the Clerk's Criminal Department at 701 North Columbia Street, Covington, Louisiana 70433, 985-809-8732, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Police reports and incident records: contact the agency that wrote the report
- Expungement: use the mandatory Louisiana forms and file through the court that handled the case
The parish jail is at 1200 Champagne Street in Covington. Because the research did not verify a current public-information telephone number or copy-fee schedule for sheriff records, confirm the correct records or public-affairs contact through the official STPSO site before sending a request.
