Terms of Use

These conditions govern use of St. Tammany Parish Criminal History. Visiting a page, reading its material, or submitting a query signifies agreement to them. Anyone who does not agree should stop using the website.

NO FCRA USE. This is a privately operated website with no government affiliation. Neither it nor its advertising partners provides a service intended for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other decisions governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Its purpose is to organize official criminal-record resources for St. Tammany Parish and Louisiana. It is neither a private investigation firm nor a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This private reference site is independent of every government office. It does not store official records, obtain records for visitors, perform official checks, or submit filings.

Its material routes readers to the St. Tammany Clerk and 22nd JDC, sheriff and city custodians, Louisiana State Police BCII, and the Louisiana State Sex Offender and Child Predator Registry. Some pages also contain independently operated search tools.

The Louisiana Public Records Law, La. R.S. Title 44, Chapter 1, governs qualifying requests made to Louisiana government custodians. It does not turn this private website into a government custodian or authorize it to release an agency’s official record.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use of the site is conditioned on an agreement not to:

  • Violate federal, Louisiana, or local law
  • Threaten, stalk, harass, intimidate, or discriminate against anyone
  • Use site content for hiring, housing, credit, or insurance decisions
  • Attempt unauthorized access to systems or data
  • Operate scrapers, bots, or other automated collection tools
  • Disrupt performance or another visitor’s access

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information obtained here or from a linked service may not be used to harass, stalk, threaten, intimidate, or discriminate against a person. Misuse can violate law. Louisiana sex-offender registry information is published for lawful community-safety purposes, not vigilantism, retaliation, employment blacklisting, or housing discrimination. The Louisiana State Sex Offender and Child Predator Registry’s warnings and applicable Louisiana law govern use of its data.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

This website is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and produces no consumer report, credit report, or official background check. Its material and linked tools may not be used to:

  • Decide whether to hire or fire someone
  • Screen potential renters or housing applicants
  • Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
  • Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
  • Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

A legally required check must be obtained through the proper Louisiana State Police BCII channel or a provider that complies with the FCRA and every applicable law.

5. No Legal Advice

General descriptions of St. Tammany Parish records are not legal advice and cannot determine how a charge, conviction, warrant, or Louisiana expungement rule applies to a particular person. Consult a licensed Louisiana attorney for legal advice.

6. No Warranties

All content is supplied "as is" and without a guarantee that:

  • The information here is accurate, complete, or current at any given time
  • The site will stay up and running without interruptions
  • Our pages are free of errors, bugs, or security holes
  • Results from our partner search tools will be thorough or accurate

Charges, dispositions, sealing orders, expungements, fees, and access systems change. Information can therefore be incomplete or stale. No statement here is an official statement by the St. Tammany Clerk, 22nd JDC, sheriff, Louisiana State Police, or another government agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links can lead to government offices, court portals, legal resources, and commercial search services outside this website’s control. Their content, privacy practices, prices, terms, and availability are their responsibility. Review the destination’s terms before using it.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, logos, graphics, and code belong to St. Tammany Parish Criminal History or its content partners. They may not be copied, distributed, modified, or used to create derivative work without prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the site is not liable for damage arising from its use, including reliance on information found here or through an external service.

10. Indemnification

Users agree to indemnify and hold the site harmless from claims, demands, or proceedings arising from their use or breach of these terms, including related legal fees and costs.

11. Governing Law

Louisiana law governs these terms. Any dispute related to website use must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Louisiana. The Louisiana Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law, La. R.S. 51:1401 et seq., applies when its legal requirements are met.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised. A revision becomes effective when the updated text is posted here.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be suspended or ended at any time, with or without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay effective. The affected language will be limited only as much as necessary to make it enforceable.

15. Questions

Questions about these terms may be submitted through the Contact page.
